Building Bridges through the Art of Making
When Crafting becomes the Way maker
Our Story.
For me - as a fellow artist, a crafter-in-crime - art was once freedom and expression. It was how we spoke about what was happening around us - in our neighborhoods, in the world and within ourselves. But somewhere along the way, it got water down into a popularity contest, imitating a chosen few.
It’s not that those few don’t deserve recognition - but we, as individuals must also recognize ourselves, our struggles and out powers.
Our Vision
Rebuilding Bridges
Most people don’t know their neighbors.
Most people don’t know the local mom-and-pop shop selling the goods - sometimes better than the big box stores. Instead of truly serving our communities, we’ve generalized and miscommunicated what people actually need.
We believe serving community starts by honoring the individuals - and though that, rebuilding the bridges that connect us all.
Why?
-
A free digital magazine & newsletter to spark fresh ideas, open to everyone.
-
Curated craft blanks and specialty materials sourced from small business across the U.S.A, chosen by makers for makers.
-
Live maker nights and laid - back zoom session designed to welcome the curios beginner and the lifelong crafter alike.
-
Printable guides, calendars & tools to keep your creativity organized - and your ideas flowing.
-
By building a creative ecosystem digital and physical - where making together becomes a source of strength.
We saw the creaks in our community - rising costs, closed spaces, and growing isolation.
Instead of watching from the side lines, we decidesd to build, piece by piece.
What makes us different?
-
Because makers deserve materials that feel meaningful - chosen for quality, story and craft, not just for trend.
-
Because where our supplies come from, and how we serve our community, matters as much as what we make.
-
Because creativity thrives in spaces built for belonging, conversation, and shares moments - not just transaction.
-
Because creativity lives everywhere: at your kitchen table, in late-night group chats and around shared workspaces.
-
Because craft isn’t about perfection - it’s about trying, laughing, learning, and discovering what you can do.
It’s not just what we sell, but what we stand for : connection, integrity, compassion and resilience.
Every creative space starts with a single spark.
Parlor 1776began with one makers belief that crafts could be more than a hobby - it could be a bridge: between neighbors, between generations. and between who we are and who we hope to become.

Founder
I’ve been a seamstress since 2010 - teaching kids and adult alike. But I didn’t stop there: crocheting 9 though I have done knitting), scrapbooking, watercolors, calligraphy, miniatures harps ..
Some hobbies came and went, but one thing stayed: the joy of sharing creativity with others.
Art became my way to connect, to expand, and to make small moments count.
And that’s what I hope to offer you here, too.
